Nuestro CEO, Iñigo García del Cerro Prieto, ha sido elegido como “CEO del Año” en los Premios Global Carrier de Capacity Media.
La décimo quinta entrega anual de los premios Global Carrier Awards tuvo lugar en Londres el 30 de octubre de 2019, y reunió a más de 420 miembros de la comunidad de telecomunicaciones mayorista más amplia que celebraron los mayores logros de la industria en los últimos 12 meses. Organizada por Rosalind Irving, CEO de Capacity Media, y Gerente Editorial de Capacity y jel Juez Principal de los GCA Jason McGee-Abe, en el Hotel Indigo de The O2, la cena de gala de gala fue realmente una noche de celebración y distinción.
Sobre Iñigo García del Cerro
Iñigo García del Cerro Prieto es ingeniero de telecomunicaciones egresado de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, economista de la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid y tiene una maestría en Administración de Empresas de IESE Business School, España.
El Sr. García del Cerro ha participado activamente en el desarrollo de UFINET como una compañía de rápido crecimiento, tanto orgánicamente como a través de fusiones y adquisiciones. En 2017, lideró un proceso para segregar nuestra estructura de las operaciones españolas, para impulsar y centrarse en el crecimiento de Latam, valorando las operaciones españolas en un múltiplo récord. El proceso duró casi un año, y los resultados significaron el nacimiento de UFINET como la puerta de entrada a la conectividad de Latam. En 2018, Iñigo también dirigió las negociaciones con ENEL (un jugador importante en el mercado mundial de distribución de electricidad y gas) para que esta compañía adquiera el 21% de participación en UFINET.
Iñigo siempre ha sido un líder orientado a los resultados al mismo tiempo que considera nuestros recursos humanos como los activos más valiosos de la empresa. Siempre ha empoderado a su gente, permitiéndoles hacer crecer la empresa mediante el uso de la creatividad y la innovación.
En los últimos 24 meses, UFINET ha estado involucrado en una fuerte evolución inorgánica, adquiriendo una serie de empresas e infraestructuras (en Paraguay, Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, Chile y Argentina), así como abriendo nuevas operaciones en diferentes países como México, Ecuador, Perú, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile y Brasil.
